Hypocrisy is simply the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.
Hypocrites, the ones practicing hypocrisy.
Social Media- websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking.
Thanks Uncle Google for the definitions. So in other words, social media hypocrites are the ones practicing hypocrisy using the social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more. Not hard to find those- simply open your social media account and VIOLA!! you will see a lot of them in there.
Let's get into the details about Social Media Hypocrites or what we call SMH.
You may not know, you are having of hypocrites commenting or liking your status on your wall or simply- it may be you- yourself is a SMH ( BEWARE!!!)
Let's identify and see what are the traits of a SMH.
Have you ever posted on your wall like a recent achievement? Maybe a latest promotion, recognition or maybe posted a recent engagement or a wedding? Common right?! And recently flooded with hearts and like with matching comment; " Congratulation!" " Happy for you, bes!", " You deserve it!" Isn't it heart warming to read those messages, right? But beware- SMH might be pooling on your post. Some, I mean "S-O-M-E (not all) people tend to be happy and wishes and congratulates you but behind those are bitterness and might wished you don't deserve it. Uh- huh! Yes, there might be some who pretends to be happy on your achievements but criticizes that you don't deserve it. They cover it by simply showing they are very happy for you. Again- you got to know those people that surrounds you and know who are sincerely happy on your achievements.
Another one. Quote posers, quotes and quotes. But with hidden intention of pointing it out to someone. They simply use quotes to simple disguise what they can't say directly. Another form of social hypocrisy. And what's ironic here is that, they themselves are targets of their own post. " hindi nila alam, para din pala sa kanila yung post nila." Here's the tip- make sure you are not a victim of your own words.

Another SMH- fame whores. Nothing against on what you want to share- go ahead and flaunt your God- given beauty, flex those god damn biceps and show off those 6 packs but right then, are you the one who refreshes your notification tab and see how many likes you got on that post or who comments and appreciates?! Oops-again , another alert for SMH. Others may have their other fame whore style, hit LIKE to be liked back, FOLLOW to be followed. Alert sign up. You might know someone or maybe you might not notice, you are being one.
Nothing against social media. I, myself can see the benefits of having this millennial innovation. But so for us to be aware what is going on an how can it also changes people towards behavior and attitude.
Appreciate, because you simple appreciate it. Not because you wanted to cover up your bitterness about other's achievement. Congratulate because they deserve to be congratulated. Let the words that come out on our mouths be sincere and not because we cannot accept that others have it and we don't. Like and follow without expecting to receive in return. Remember, better to have few but sincere, rather have a multitude and surround by hypocrites.
Be cautious of people whose actions does not match their words.
